Participating in this contest was a long overdue permission to write a story I had shelved for too long. Reading other people's worlds, encouraging each other, and impatiently waiting for feedback on my writing have all been highlights. But the fun of challenging myself with prompts (that I didn't come up with) and trying to get my best short story out there has been the most valuable part. Tamsin has been a great host and I can't wait for the next Cozy Quill Fantasy Writing Contest edition!
